For almost two decades, Creighton has been a dedicated public servant in the state of Texas. He first began his political career in 2002 when he was elected to serve as a state representative for District 16, located in the suburbs of Montgomery County near Houston. During his time in the Texas House of Representatives, Creighton was elected President of the House and was appointed Vice President of General Research and Ethics, Vice President of Local Government Ways and Means, Natural Resources, and State Water Funding. In 2012, Creighton was elected to serve as a state senator for Conroe, Texas.
Since then, he has been re-elected twice and is currently serving his third term in office. During his tenure as a state senator, Creighton has been a strong advocate for public education, economic development, and public safety. He has also been a leader in promoting fiscal responsibility and accountability in government and has been a strong supporter of small businesses and entrepreneurs. Creighton's commitment to public service has earned him numerous awards and recognitions. He was named one of Texas Monthly's Ten Best Legislators in 2013 and was recognized by the Texas Association of Business as Legislator of the Year in 2014. He has also been honored by numerous organizations for his work on behalf of veterans, seniors, and children.
